In our Bible study last Thursday we talked about how words can hurt.
Proverbs 13 says "From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things..."
"He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin."
~Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me~
What a load of junk! The sticks and stones part is true, but the rest of it is a BIG lie...
Words wont only hurt you, they can kill too. Not only yourself but those around you as well!
The bible says that your tongue is sharper than any double edged sword, and is twice as dangerous.
Just remember that God can always hear you. He can always see you, and he can always tell whether you're doing wrong or right. So next time you think about gossipping about the latest word, or just chatting with your bestie, remember, God is watching! So refrain from sinning verbally, and walk through the rest of your day one sin less!
